Huaqiao University (HQU) has two campuses: one in Xiamen, a seaside city awarded the “UN Habitat Scroll of Honor Award”;

HQU offers 11 academic disciplines including Economics, Management, Science, Engineering, Arts, Medicine, Education, and such.

一、學校簡介Introduction to HQU
?華僑大學位于中國福建省廈門和泉州，創辦于1960年。
?Established in 1960, HQU is situated in Xiamen and Quanzhou, Fujian province, P.R.C.

1.文史類和文理兼報專業須達到HSK5級或以上，理工類專業原則上須達到HSK5級。漢語言、華文教育、全英文教學專業、語言預科班無HSK成績要求。
Applicants should reach HSK Level 5 to be qualified for arts programs or arts and science programs. In principle, applicants should also reach HSK Level 5 to choose science programs. The HSK certificate is not required for Chinese Language, Chinese Language and Culture Education, English-medium programs, and Language Preparatory Program.
2.漢語預科班：漢語水平未達到本科專業錄取條件的學生，按照“漢語+專業”培養體系，先修讀漢語預科班，通過一學年強化學習，全面提升漢語水平、專業知識儲備及跨文化交際能力，做好與國內教育的銜接，結業后合格的，可銜接本科專業學習。
Chinese Language Preparatory Programs:
Students whose Chinese proficiency do not meet the admission requirements for undergraduate programs will first attend Chinese Preparatory Programs according to the “Chinese + Major” programs. Through one year of intensive learning, students will comprehensively improve their Chinese proficiency, professional knowledge and cross-cultural communication skills, and have their admission into the undergraduate programs once graduated.
3.大學預科班：設有文科和理科班，重點鞏固和提升高中知識水平。完成學業，綜合測評合格可直升我校本科專業。
Pre-University Programs:
There are classes for Liberal Arts and Science, focusing on strengthening and improving high school knowledge. Students who finish their studies and pass the comprehensive assessment can be directly admitted to HQU for undergraduate programs.
4.選讀術科專業（音樂學、舞蹈學、體育教育、美術學、產品設計、視覺傳達設計）的學生要求具有相應的專業基礎，必要時將組織復核。
Applicants for the technical programs (including Musicology, Dance Studies, Physical Education, Fine Arts, Product Design, and Visual Communication Design) should have relevant skills. Extra technical tests will be arranged if necessary.
5.術科專業、全英文教學專業（國際學院三個專業）的學生入學后不可申請轉入其他普通類本科專業，其他普通本科專業學生入學后亦不可轉入上述專業。
Students of technical programs and English-medium programs (the three programs of the International School) are not allowed to transfer to other programs, and vice versa.
6.表格列出專業為我校境外生推薦就讀專業，最終招生專業以報名系統可選專業及實際成班情況為準。學校為目錄專業制定專門的培養方案，其他不在目錄的專業，不專門編制境外生培養方案。
Above are the recommended programs for international students. Please refer to the admission application system to see the programs available. Special teaching syllabuses are designed for the above programs but not for other programs not listed.
7.學校部分專業實行“1＋3”兩校區融合式培養，即第一學年及后續學年分別在不同校區學習。報到校區以學校最終安排為準。
Some programs above adopt “1+3” integrated talent cultivation across two campuses; that is, students spend the first and subsequent academic years in different campuses. Please refer to the final registration notice to check the registration campus.

三、招生辦法Application Process
（一）報名條件 Eligibility
凡具有高中畢業文化程度（須為學歷教育），品行端正、身心健康、成績優秀的外國留學生（持外國護照，且不能同時擁有中國國籍），年齡原則上不超過22周歲，均可報名。
International applicants (holding passports of foreign countries and shall not have Chinese nationality at the same time) should be no more than 22 years old, with a senior high school diploma or an equivalent academic one, outstanding grades, good physical and mental health, good behavior, and a clean criminal record.
根據《教育部關于規范我高等學校接受國際學生有關工作的通知》（教外函〔2020〕12號）規定，若學生為祖國大陸（內地）、香港、澳門和臺灣居民在移民并獲得外國國籍后申請作為國際學生進入我高等學校本專科階段學習的，或父母雙方或一方為中國公民并定居在外國，本人出生時即具有外國國籍的，不具有中國國籍的，還應持有有效的外國護照或國籍證明文件4年（含）以上，且最近4年（截至入學年度的4月30日前）之內有在外國實際居住2年以上的記錄（一年中實際在外國居住滿9個月可按一年計算，以入境和出境簽章為準）。
In accordance with Chinese Ministry of Education’s Regulations on Recruiting International Students for Higher Institutions, any applicant who has immigrated from China (including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) to foreign countries, or who has acquired foreign nationality at birth because one or both of his/her parents are Chinese nationals settling abroad, should has hold the valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for more than 4 years (including 4 years), and should has lived in the foreign country for more than 2 years (living for 9 months in the foreign country per year can be counted as 1 year) within the latest 4 years (before April 30th of the year of enrollment).

（二）入學方式 Ways of Admission
1.申請審核入學 Admission Application for International Students
具有海外高中學習經歷并取得畢業證書的外國留學生，通過華僑大學境外生網上報名系統（https://admissions.hqu.edu.cn/）提交個人申請資料，經審核符合條件者予以錄取。申請時間：即日起至2024年6月1日，未在規定時間內補充完整材料的，視為放棄申請資格。需提交的個人材料如下：
International students holding overseas high school diplomas shall submit personal application documents through the online application system (https://admissions.hqu.edu.cn/). Those who meet the requirements will be admitted after review. Application deadline: June 1st, 2024. Those failing to provide complete materials within the specified time will be regarded as giving up their application qualifications. Documents needed are as follows:
（1）在報名系統填寫個人完整信息及有效聯系方式。
Complete personal information and valid contact information in the application system.
（2）學生本人護照身份頁（護照有效期應在2025年10月及之后）及一寸彩色免冠證件照（照片用于學籍注冊，不得PS，不得遮擋眉毛耳朵等面部位置，電子版需為清晰的JPG格式文件）。
Passport ID page (passport validity should be on or after October 2025) and one-inch color photo in clear JPG format. The photo is for enrollment registration. Any retouch of the photo is not allowed. There shall be no covering of any facial parts including eyebrows, ears.
（3）經公證或認證的中文或英文高中及以上學歷的畢業證書、境外高中各年級成績單。上述材料原件如非中/英文，則須附上經正規翻譯機構翻譯為中文或英文翻譯件并公證。
Notarized or certified high school (or above) diploma, annual academic transcripts of high school. If graduation certificates and transcripts are not in Chinese or English, please attach authenticated Chinese or English translations.
（4）生源國高中統考成績或國際通行標準化測試成績原件及翻譯件，作為入學及獎學金認定依據。
Transcripts and corresponding translations of high school graduation examinations or UEC/A Level/AP/IB/SAT/ACT for reference.
（5）漢語水平考試（HSK）等級證書。
HSK Certificate.
（6）推薦信1封（由畢業高中學校、海外僑團、僑社、知名僑領或我校海外招生處主任推薦）。
Recommendation letter by applicant’s high school, overseas Chinese groups or communities, renowned overseas Chinese leaders, or overseas admission offices of HQU in the local countries.
（7）近半年體檢材料。
Physical Examination Report (valid for 6 months).
（8）根據《教育部關于規范我高等學校接受國際學生有關工作的通知》（教外函〔2020〕12號）規定：
祖國大陸（內地）、香港、澳門和臺灣居民在移居外國后的留學生，需提交①中國國籍或戶籍注銷證明；②加入外國國籍證明；③近四年出入境記錄（截至2024年4月30日前）。
在外國出生即取得外國國籍的申請人，父母雙方或一方為中國公民的，需提供①申請人出生即取得外國國籍證明；②申請人出生前父母（中國公民方）在外國的永久居留證明；③近四年出入境記錄（截至2024年4月30日前）。
In accordance with Chinese Ministry of Education’s Regulations on Recruiting International Students for Higher Institutions, any applicant who has immigrated from China (including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) to foreign countries should submit (a) Chinese nationality cancellation certificate; (b) Certificate of foreign nationality; (c) Entry and exit records for the latest 4 years (until before April 30th, 2024) issued by the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau. Any applicant who has acquired foreign nationality at birth because one or both of his/her parents are Chinese nationals settling abroad, should submit (a) Certificate of foreign nationality at birth; (b) Proof of permanent residence of his/her parents (Chinese citizens) in the foreign country before the applicant’s birth; (c) Entry and exit records for the latest 4 years (until before April 30th, 2024) issued by the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau.
2.考試入學 Entrance Examination for International Students
符合條件的學生可參加“暨南大學、華僑大學聯合招收港澳臺和華僑、華人及其他外籍學生入學考試”，報名網址https://lxlz.jnu.edu.cn/。
International students can register to take the Joint International Admissions Examination by Jinan University and Huaqiao University for Hongkong, Macao, Taiwan, Overseas Chinese Students and Foreign Students. Please log on https: //lxlz.jnu.edu.cn/ to submit the application for examination.
報名時間為每年3月份，考試時間為每年5月份，以具體通知為準。
Registration for the examination is scheduled in every March, with examination started in May.
3.報到流程 Registration Process
（1）我校將及時審核學生報名材料，并將問題在報名系統上反饋。已錄取的學生，可在報名系統上下載“錄取通知函”。
HQU reviews the application documents and provides feedback through the application system. Students admitted can download the “Admission Notice” through the application system.
（2）我校為錄取的學生發放錄取通知書、JW202表等材料。
HQU issues Admission Notice, JW202 Form and other materials to students admitted.
（3）學生持相關材料到中國駐所在國使領館辦理X1學習簽證。
International students should apply for X1 visa at Chinese Embassy/Consulate in the host country with the Admission Notice and JW202 Form.
（4）學生按錄取通知書規定時間報到入學。
Students should register at the time specified in the Admission Notice.
注：新生入學后，我校有權利隨時對其體檢結果及個人身份條件進行復核，不符合入學規定的，我校將取消其入學資格。
Note: HQU reserves the right to review the physical examination report and qualifications of the applicants, and those who are unqualified will have their admission cancelled.

（三）生活費用：膳食費每月約1500元人民幣，視個人情況而定。

五、獎助學金體系SCHOLARSHIPS
